Abstract
Occupational therapy practitioners strive to implement occupation-centered interventions within the setting of skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). However, they must overcome many barriers to implement these interventions. This article describes the importance of occupation-centered practice, barriers that impede implementing authentic occupation-centered interventions, and creative solutions to overcome these barriers to increase occupation-centered practice.
